Hey Head-fi! The metal strain relief on my ATH-M50's 3.5mm plug just detached from the housing. The spring is still wrapped around the cable, but now it's free to slide up and down the cable. Not good!
Does anyone know how I could attach it back onto the plug?

What you have to do is to expand the string, so that you can get the spring inside the jack. What i did was, i put my fingernail on the end of the spring, and pinned it down to the jack. Then, I stretched the spring just enough so that i could fit the spring in. Then i hooked it in the jack, and kept the spring stretched. After,  hooking the spring (Keep your fingernail on the spring), slowly roll the spring under the hole. I hope that helps
