I know the legendary ones D303,D25,D555's are out of production, looking for the best in production right now.

Feature-wise I don't need any optical outs etc...

Just a plain headphone out with enough juice to power an IEM.

I'll bite.

Production wise, forget it. There's been no development in this space since most major manufacturers ejected from the market (e.g. Sony).

You're better off getting an older model, for example I like the form factor of the Sony D-EJ955. I use optical out coupled to a DIY-DAC / Headphone Amp. It's a semi-portable set up.

If you're after actual headphone output, I'd go for a D-EJ2000 - but, I've never heard one myself. I know others rate this as one of the last good sounding ones...
