I am looking for sub $100 closed cans that sound as good as the KSC-35's. Just got my 35's today and I can't believe how great they sound. Looking for a closed can that sounds good and is under 100 bucks.

Perhaps the v6's would fit your description, but there aren't many good closed cans under 100 bucks.

hey a1leyez0nm3,

would you say that the senn 280pro's are semi portable?

im trying to find a closed can to use out and about. Not while walking or anything, but when im not at home and am in a stationary position (ie: bus, school, etc).

so far ive been eyeing sony v6's with beyer pads....

well i think that they would work fine, if you dont mind their large size. the V6 doesnt have as much isolation, and i think the 280 pro sounds a bit better than the v6.

Either get the Sony V6 from one of the sites on shopping.yahoo.com for around $60 or up your budget to around $140 and look at the Beyerdynamic DT250-80 and Ultrasone 650, which I haven't heard yet but is getting "better than the Beyer" reviews from those who have.

I have not heard any closed headphones under 100 that have a similar sound to the KSC-35's. MacDEF's suggestion is a good one, the Beyer's are an awesome sounding headphone, but I must caution you if you consider it that it is only suitable for those with average to small sized heads. I have a great melon on my shoulders and the Beyers were very uncomfortable. I could only wear them for 10-15 minutes at at time before they got too uncomfortable.

Koss r-80's are pretty huge but they are closed and sound good for their price.

Biggie.
