Hi. We all know about garbage in garbage out concept and the best amp is to retain the source info as detail as possible and not add color.

So I assume line out is clean and original before feeding into an amplifier.

An Attenautor is the opposite of an amp it reduces the amplitude or power of a signal without appreciably distorting its waveform.

Theoretically I can use an Attenautor (volume control thingy such as Shure EA650/Koss VC20) to reduce the power from the line out and it should sound uncolored?

I actually tried that on my Teclast T51 line out and the detail and clarity is amazing. Anyone tried or do that?

Of course my knowledge of electronics is absolutely zero that's why I am asking for opinion here.
