100+ Head-Fier
Hello. I am a new owner of ESP950. I am curious if I have to unplug the headphone cable from e/90 when I am done listening for the day. Does anyone do this ?
There is no need to unplug the 950/95X headphone cable from the energiser unless you want to pack up the system.Hello. I am a new owner of ESP950. I am curious if I have to unplug the headphone cable from e/90 when I am done listening for the day. Does anyone do this ?
it's a good idea to cover the headset so dust doesn't get into it. This is particular problem with these headphones. I use a hair cap from a hotel I picked up on a trip. A hand towel or anything that covers the headset will do.Hello. I am a new owner of ESP950. I am curious if I have to unplug the headphone cable from e/90 when I am done listening for the day. Thank you for the suggestion.. but wouldn't the open-back side still be exposed to the dust ?it's a good idea to cover the headset so dust doesn't get into it. What I was asking basically is if the RCA connectors on the E90 are a shared common ground or not. If so, then yes I will not try this.Careful, balanced connections are NOT compatible with single ended ones, and the Koss energizer doens not have any balanced input.
Unless you're saying that the convertion is not only physical but also electrical (from 4,4mm balanced to single ended stereo RCA), I would advice against your idea.
I know this is a very old post, but how well did this end up working? I have several PD adapters, and if I could replace the massive Koss 9v wallwart with a much smaller PD power adapter and one of these, well, I might just do it!I ordered this to test that very idea out.

It worked out great! No discernable difference.I know this is a very old post, but how well did this end up working? I have several PD adapters, and if I could replace the massive Koss 9v wallwart with a much smaller PD power adapter and one of these, well, I might just do it!
Is there a USB adapter version of this? Maybe I can plug it in my iPhone charger.I know this is a very old post, but how well did this end up working? Yep! Ultimately I preferred the solid state Gustard P26 with Burson opamps as it does not reduce the speed and transients of the 95X. My tube amp is being modified currently but I will for sure give it a spin with the E/90 when I have the chance.Anyone feeding tube amp to e/90 ? It's awesome. In combination with low end EQ, ESP950 gives me warmer, denser sound.
