Just got less perforated and fully not perforated pads for my bass tuned Rognir Planar.

I’ve installed fully non-perforated ones currently and here are the changes I’ve noticed immediately:
1. The timbre has changed and became much more pleasant to my ear. Removed mid bass dip contributed to vocals and string becoming sounding more natural.
2. Low bass amount reached it max amount for me - sound definitely became more bassy, but not overwhelming for me fortunately. But if bass amount became a bit more - I won’t be able to tolerate it. So I’m lucky here.
3. Isolation became top notch. There is no sound leakage and so on.

Pads have the same comfort as default ones.

Wanted to ask how to position them properly?
I’ve put them with stitches angled like this, can you please guys comment if it is right or not?

My favorite pads are the non-perforated dynamic pads (I have the bass tuned version as well), and I have the stitches front-facing like yours so that the thickest part of the pads are behind my ears.

Seems Kennerton are going to have to reroute shipping from UPS and FedEx and DHL to another company temporarily- the headphones Kennerton owners own now and the inventory at Audio46 is going to be more rare than ever - I’m aware Kennerton will continue to work harder than ever to get orders filled and shipped- where there is a will there is a way

I’ve tried less perforated ECL-02 today and effect was quite strange. Low end became mostly the same impactful as with non-perforated ECL-03, but timbre shifted to more natural one only partially. So the overall tone start to sound artificial to me.
Mids and highs remained being very airy and somewhat dry.
Sound leakage is still very noticeable with them compared to dead silent ECL-03 ones.
I would go further saying that Rognir with default pads are semi-open headphones due to leakage amount, not a closed ones.

@VKazanzhi I would recommend Kennerton to ship Rognirs with non-perforated ECL-03 pads installed by default due to much more natural timbre produced in sound signature.
Also passive isolation would be on a proper expected level for the closed back headphones.

Hello all Kennerton Fans.

John, are you still listening to your Thekk?

If it is this one (pictured below), I find it very beautiful with its blue color.

Well, even if I don't use it much at the moment (another headphones has since replaced it), well, my "two-tone" colored Thekk, in stabilized birch, yellow and blue, I like it even more .

I agree with you on the above statements. You can also order/purchase from Audio46 in NY, they are an authorized dealer for Kennerton...:)
I would get charged duty and taxes when purchasing from audio 64. Seems like you don't get charged these when purchasing direct.

My error, I thought you were in the US...But yes, No duties or taxes when buying direct from Audio 46, at least in my state. Best of luck with your purchase.
Cheers

Speaking of rarity, the only Thror available in stock @ Audio46 currently is a Tulipwood special edition. It is very spendy but very attractive looking. However, my rule of having only one HP per type (open/closed/driver tech combination) is holding strong as I really like the Wodans. That said, please someone with a much bigger wallet buy this Thror to remove any lingering temptation.

You're holding onto that rule better than I am... I jumped on the HD8XX cheapo deal to try out modding it.
