My K 702 serial number is 05279 and it has 7 bumps. I'm wondering what your serial numbers are and how many bumps they have. It's been reported that the early production had 7 bumps on the headband and I want to confirm whether the rumors are true.

24028 Which has 7 bumps and the AKG Logo on top.
21598 Which has 7 bumps and the AKG logo on bottom.

Yeah, this all seems very random, and apparently nothing to do with serial number as I thought there was. I wonder what the deal is... ergonomically 8 bumps would be superior so that it reduces the pressure on top of the head at least a little bit (7 can be simply awful for some people... I even cut it off altogether!

). It does seem like 7 bumps on K702 is rare overall though.

You have the K701
