I've got the perfect amp to do it justice too. My 4 channel Beta22 has 2 outputs at can be used simultaneously. Be so easy to just switch between the two headphone and do a thorough comparision.

Great! Also, not sure if you know but the DX2000 got shipped with 40 hours already put in them. Consider this when comparing to your DX1k. Perhaps you should put as many hours into the DX2k as you already have in your DX1k (at least approximately) for a totally perfect comparison. What do you think?

I think I've put at least 100 hours on my DX1000 plus whatever the previous owner put on them. Got no idea how many hours he had on them. He bought it brand new in 2009. It still in mint condition. DX2000 and DX1000 box looks exactly the same except for the lettering.

Nah mate, they haven't sent it yet. Got a notification that it's been handed to the shipping department for processing orders. They will notify me once it been shipped and a tracking number will be provided.

Yeah, the DX2000 seems to have no love and coverage. I checked the forum a while back and recently, not even one person registered ownership of this headphone. No reviews either, let alone own the DX1000. Pretty certain I will be the first to have both at hand to do a fair comparision rather than rely on other impressions of the DX1000 to comment on. Anyway, I'm stoked at the moment. Can't wait till it arrives. Got 2 Asus Essence One Muses Edition to fire them both up with.
