I've been reading a lot about these and I think they will be good for me.
 
What I listen to right now: 320 and FLAC electronic music... Junior Boys, Lemaitre, Daft Punk, a little bit of electro house, nu disco, glow fi, like Slow Magic, Chrome Sparks, and some rap, like Kanye West. I am a bit of a basshead- I probably like a warmer headphone.
 
Are either of these headphones good for me? I want a fun sound- great bass and good mids/highs.
 
Also, what modifications do you recommend I make to these?

Go with the S500, it's better for the music you listen to. I suggest you listen to it and let it burn in, than mod it to your preference.
