Hello Audiophiles,
I have been looking for a comparison between the two but looks like no one has done so.
I have narrowed down both of them as per my requirements and i don't want to go with the custom route.
I would love to hear the impressions of both from their respective owners.

Buy the 850 - no contest... I cannot think of any facet of the 700's performance that exceeds the 850 - I have owned both. (still have the 850)

So is the 850s Soundstage just as wide or wider? Or narrower than the 700?

Can someone do a complete comparision between the two?
Bass, midrange, treble, and most importantly the soundstage of each?
 
I also wonder if the fx850 is just as harsh as the fx700 on high piercing recordings.
