Just bought this DAC. http://pacificvalve.us/LTDACAH2.html (Worth it or not, we'll soon find out I guess.

Now I need an amp while I'm at it on my super-low-budget. I'm thinking around err $150 tops! Must be able to deliver to the UK aswell.

Also does anyone know the cables I'll need? From soundcard (optical) to the DAC from the DAC to the amp? Man, I can never quite understand the cable part and why they never include cables with the DAC or AMP, but anyway.

DAC to AMP will be simple RCA interconnects.

I've heard that DAC is good you shouldn't be disapointed.

What cans will you be using with the amp?

If, as you say, your soundcard is optical then all you would need is an optical cable from soundcard to dac.

Just some HD595's, but I'll be buying something from the AT range later in the year. As I'm not too happy with the HD595's.
