I'm considering pulling the trigger on a pair of headphones, only the person selling them says that one ear sounds quieter than the other.

Is it possible to balance this out via software? How well does that work?
Do unmatched volume levels point toward a malfunctioning driver?

in short: is it worth the purchase?

Thanks a lot!

You could balance it by ear by getting a dual amp like the Darkvoice 337 or little dot mkviii, but it really doesn't seem worthwhile getting an unbalanced headphone....

Even easier, it can be done with EQ or sound card settings. But yes it's a waste of time for a broken headphone.
