A very noob quick question:

I recently got an iPod Classic 80GB (my mom didn't want it anymore so she gave it to me

) So now I want to amp it with my Mini^3, but I'm a bit new to the LOD business. Do all LODs even ones designed for the previous generations of iPods work with the iPod Classic 80GB?

Yes

As long as iPods have had dock connectors, the LO pins have been the same. Any dock>mini/rca cable will work.
