I got a 4gb iphone and I have verizon as my network. I was wondering what is currently my best bet (free software) to unlock the iphone? Any successes with anyone?
Looking for a simple and free way to unlock my iphone.

Sorry dude, but you're out of luck. Unlocking software is not going to help you. AT&T's network (and consequently your iPhone) runs on the GSM standard, Verizon is CDMA.

Your best bet is to switch to AT&T to use the iPhone, or to sell the iPhone.

The statements above are correct, it won't work with Verizon. However, if you hack it you can get it to also work with T-Mobile not only At&t.

Don't unlock an iphone anyway, they've already said the next update will brick unlocked phones. Buy an already unlocked phone from europe instead.
