Hello everyone I'm new to this forum. Have a pair of 15 year-old HD 600's that I love. I am getting back into this hobby. I have an old headroom amp that I'm thinking of replacing with an Oppo BDP105 and a Schiit Mjolnir amp recabling the headphone for the balanced amp. I could use some help with a few things.
1) does anybody have any experience with the set up like this? Is this amp DAC combo overkill for the HD 600?
2) I am looking at a custom PlusSound headphone cable. Any ideas or experience?
3) any suggestions for good quality but reasonable XLR interconnects between the DAC and amp.
4) I am looking into the Audeze headphones as an upgrade in the relatively near future. Will this amp DAC combo do? I listen mostly to classical music and classic rock.
