I have one audiovisual setup which I use for music and movies - it includes a marantz HT amp and an aria sonice tube amp. The tube amp has 2 inputs, I am currently using 1 from my CD/DAC.

To avoid swapping speaker cables when going from music to DVDs would it be safe to connect the left and right preouts from the HT amp into the second input on the tube amp? The reason I ask is I was under the impression that the left and right channels in multi channel DVDs were surround /effects channels. Could this input damage a tube amp?

I originally bought the tube amp for my Senn HD600s but love the sound they produce through my speakers more!
