The mechanical design and build quality looks excellent for a company's first product in this space. They graph quite well and I hope that translates to a good experience when put on actual people's heads.

Great looking headphone! It looks very well built. I definitely like the subtle red mesh behind the driver. Nice touch.

Looking forward to impressions.

Nice video and I'm glad to see companies introducing affordable headphones instead of $5000 flagships. A few questions:

  • It was mentioned that the headband is patent pending. Can you go into more detail on the function of the headband and how it's different than off-the-shelf options?
  • Composite materials were mentioned. Can you talk more about that - what kind of composite is used and how much weight is saved over the alternative (i suppose plastic or metal)?
  • What did you feel were the advantages of Aune developing everything in-house as opposed to purchasing off-the-shelf components from other suppliers?

谢谢!

Excited to hear these - I enjoyed the video (though would have appreciated a spoken English version), and was interested to hear about the computer-aided modeling, etc., that went into their design.

Considering how highly regarded Aune is as a company, the AR5000 look very promising. What struck me the most in the video was the dampening system employed, very interesting. Oh, and the geek in me loved the shots of the AR5000 laid out in parts over the schematics.

Good luck everyone! 🤟😎

Well I actually watched it. Few interesting tidbids without being too cringe as marketing usually is. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not really in the market for open or wired headphones, but these were the first ones in a long time that peaked my interested due to extremely good looking design and decend pricing. Maybe they would pair up nicely with my ancient Aune X1 mk2. Good luck. :fingers_crossed:

I really like the design; they look very premium and beautiful. I just recently learned about Aune, and I enjoyed learning more about their history and their philosophy and vision.

I really appreciate that reliability and comfort were the emphasis of this headphone; it's something that I really look for in headphones, which often gets overlooked by a lot of companies.

What struck me the most is the low 28 ohm impedance; they're so easy to drive that you can run them with just a phone.

Overall, this seems to be a very promising headphones, and I'm really looking forward to them. I hope this will be another great product.

it has small driver compare to its body
tbf 50mm isn't that small but in 115mm body is a bit strange , FT3 has 60mm I believe
Bigger driver doesnot mean better sound, i tried it on my local headphone show, the sound actually not bad for it's price, but the build quality overall not better than sundara but this AR5000 is better choice for my taste even compare to ananda, however time will tell if the build gonna last or not

I was born in 1973. The same era as the founder of Aune. I think I can correlate the ideas in the video very well. After watching the video my excitement grown -starting right from the beginning! Wow what an history and story! I sense (or feel) that the Aune AR5000 is like a celebration of the founder's era, a nod to the timeless wisdom of Yin-Yang, and an embodiment of the emotional connection we share with the music that defines our lives. I love the design, I am happy to hear that it is lightweight and has angled earpads (and drivers), I am happy to hear that it is rated at 28OHM, I am excited to hear that it delivers spatial sound (I like wide soundstage). I like to try this headphone. I want to ride the journey as it triggers the emotions in my soul. I have to admit, I like the video and explanations of the Aune audio company so much that now I am looking at their other products on their web site!

Thank you for sharing your feelings and the emotional words!:)
You mentioned Yin-Yang. Then we'll have to take this opportunity to explain the design of our logo:beerchug:

The logo of aune was inspired by the concept of Yin-Yang - the Chinese philosophy of balance. The rounded design of the letters conveys a message of peace and gentleness. The openings on four sides indicate inclusiveness.

You'll find it looks the same upside down.

Watched the promo. Really nice structure and history before jumping to specs. Low impedance is a huge plus in my book. Making them easy to drive with portable solutions really broadens the use case coverage. Hope to try these out!

Very surprised to find out that it was a dynamic driver. Everything from design to the specs behind the headphone seems very...Chinese, in a good way.

感觉这个耳机的设计,从阻抗到美学都很中式。从来没有看过这么庆祝中国价值观的耳机(但是我有可能想得太复杂了)。下次回中国找一个地方听一听。
