I'm using the amp in transformer mode (not OTL) and it's working great with the Grados. Right now I'm using Genalex EL84's and a gold-pin Electro Harmonic 12AX7. The source is an Apogee Duet 2. I'm using solid silver interconnects between the Duet breakout cable and the amp. I'm enjoying this set up more than when I was using the amp in OTL mode with high impedance headphones like Sennheiser 650's and Beyerdynamic DT880-600's.
