iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

Regarding the shutdown time, from 10 to 30 minutes, I am OK, I'd prefer a way to shut them down without having to place them back into the case. In a recent ticket, iFi Support told me it is not currently possible but they will consider it in a future update 👍

Does anyone know what the "Bit Perfect" filter does? @iFi audio ? :)
You can put them now into and out of standby with 4 taps.

Bitperfect switches off digital filtering normally occurring before DAC processing.

This is not correct. Four consecutive taps disable the touch buttons and another 4 enable them again. Super useful, as I've had drops of sweat falling on the touch buttons while jogging and bringing the Volume to maximum!

Besides that, I've already asked iFi Support and there is no way, for the time being, to power off the GO Pod without putting it inside the case (or wait 30 minutes for auto-shutdown)

I see. So, it is just a matter of taste?

@iFi audio I'd appreciate it if you'd also ask Support :)

Will do!

Interesting product! Will it be out around February 2024, you think? Would love to add LHDC on my S23 Ultra!
Get a OnePlus phone they came with it.

Samsung doesn't want to pay for the lic.

Plus you more choices
You get about 4 total more codes, with the max of 8 total. And I heard the OnePlus 12 may also have aptx lossless

Umm....dunno...maybe....I'll have a look at OnePlus 12 when it will launch in the UK, maybe after a month or so....dunno... I own my S23 Ultra for less than one year and I'm pretty happy with it! I also have the Galaxy Buds Pro , a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and a 34" Odyssey OLED G85SB...gone all Samsung this time, we'll see....

You have beaten this drum enough, haven’t you?

Strange that you attack me who only responded when iFi continues to gaslight consumers. I mean they can just stop gaslighting consumers, and I'd never post that again, instead you blame the consumer. Fascinating. You do you.

I have had the Shure TW2 for the last couple of weeks almost. For less than half the price of the Go Pod, they are very good. A good app with the fundamentals, including an EQ with a low shelf and high shelf, customizing the controls, launching ambient mode when you pause music if you want to, an ambient mode that works, a case that actually feels well-built and is far more designed sleekly for on-the-go usage. Better charging implementation in the case, not fussy. They have a better fit on more ears, as the cable is not as stiff or as short as the Go Pods which has negatively affected some users. They do have tactile buttons, which I'm really growing to appreciate now that it's getting cold and I will have gloves on. I do like capacitative a lot as well.

Downsides - mmcx connection only, but I've been using them with a mini mmcx to 2 pin adapter just fine. If you want LDAC or the latest Qualcomm codecs, this does not have those, as it is an older product. It does support AptX which is what I like to use on the go, unless AptX HD is available which is on some devices but not the Shures. They do not have as much power as the Go Pods, but if you select the Shure 215 buds in the app, it should give more than enough power for the vast majority of consumers. I like my music loud.

I'm hoping the next gen of this type of product from any brand, whether it is Shure or FiiO or iFi or someone else - merges the shure positives and the newer chip of the Go Pods, plus being able to switch connectors natively.

And I hope that iFi Audio will hire or collaborate with a Developer like those working on Qudelix so that we will have an App soon :)

I've successfully updated both the App on my Samsung S23 Ultra and the Firmware on my GO Pods. I appreciate the battery level indicator on the GAIA App :)
Can you please share how you updated the GAIA app on your S23 phone?

Sure :)

I went to the iFi Download Hub ----> https://ifi-audio.com/support/download-hub/
I entered the Serial Number of my GO Pod
I downloaded the latest Firmware and the latest GAIA App APK on my laptop
I transferred both files on my S23 Ultra
I uninstalled the previous version of the GAIA App and rebooted my phone
I installed the GAIA APK
I installed the new Firmware

:)

PS: I think that iFi should definitely offer this App on the Google Play Store and definitely alert/inform the user about the Firmware updates

Reporting that after following these exact steps my left pod is in error.

The update progress went fine for pod1 (writing and verifying), went on for pod2 and after the verifying step signaled an error regarding the whole process.

Since then, left pod is blinking green and red, and despite putting both pods back in and out of the box several times and trying to clear paired devices and factory reset via Gaia app, the situation remains.

My phone is a Vivo X80 Pro under Android 13. My pods were with firmware 1.52.

Searched the thread and found an instance here in July:

Doesn't bode well.

Sorry to hear, never had such an issue, I am on Android.

Contact iFi Support and you may copy the steps I've suggested and ask them if there is anything wrong with my suggestion.

There is nothing wrong with my suggestion.

There is something wrong with your GO Pod.

Ps: I have never factory-reset my GO Pod from the GAIA App or from the soft touch buttons.
PPS: The best practice is to read iFi Audio's instructions. On the iFi Download Hub, after providing the Serial Number and getting the list of available updates, there are instructions on how to update and even a small video, if I recall correctly. If that fails, open a ticket because there's something wrong with either your GO Pod or your smartphone.
