I asked this on the dx50 thread but thought i'll ask here as well.

Would the dx50 be a significant upgrade in terms of sq over a rockboxed sansa fuze v2 that i've paired with a fiio e17. im using the line out of the sansa so the digital to analog conversion is done by the e17. i understand the e17 has the same dac chip as the dx50 and x3.

Will only be using with westone 4s.

If you are using the line out of the Sansa then the E17 is only being used as an amp...

I have a X3, a sansa clip, fuze and FIIO amp...
The X3 is a huge upgrade.

I have both X3 and DX50, in my opinion the DX50 is the better of the two. I had the E17 paired with an iPod classic which sounded great but I would take either the DX50 or the X3 over the ipod /E17 combo. Just my opinion.

This tells us that we always have to compromise, as the iPod has the biggest storage capacity but not the best Sound possible at this Price. The very expensive ones, have a bigger storage possibility, but no Wlan and or Streaming Option. Wonder when the prefect Player will come and at wich Price??

IPod classic = 250.00
Ibasso DX50 = 239.00

Not the same storage as iPod is 160 gb but the DX50 has a external slot which can handle a micro SD card or OTG for an external HD up to 2TB.

One other thing to note is that there is a DX90 and a X5 coming out in march. Everyone should consider these new marvels.

I want to buy ibasso in india but it is not available here so i have to buy it from sites like mp4nation which ship it from abroad i just want to know that is there any chance i might get the eu volume limited version of dx 50 if there is any because i think they are manufactured in china
