Why don't you buy something higher up? The ne-6 would want you having more. The fischer audio eterna or the hippo vb are great headphones that sound like a better ne-6. I already sold my ne-6 to a friend and got RE0s.
I recall that the only place that you could buy them are at amazon.com. So I don't think it's worth it for the $30 shipping fee.

The hippos sell for $79 USD. Great value for the money.

There's always the ViSang R02 (off ebay) and Brainwavz M1 (mp4nation.net). Both are around $40 shipped and sound great.
