I think these might be the right headphones for me.

This has gotten great views and is a fairly underrated set of cans. I never heard of these, or really cared to look at them.

Indeed both models were well known and regarded headphones here a few years ago, you can make several mods and react well to Equing.
I thought they were discontinued.

Maybe they re-released them? It's on hundreds of stores on googles shopping including JVC.com. I wonder if I should buy them. How much of an improvement in the 900 over the 700?

You can generally find the HA-RX300 in any regular store (E.G. WalMart), so they haven't discontinued the entire series, at least.

Good to know. I was not sure because a few months back, they were out of stock in most places. even on the Us.

They got it listed on their website still, both 300, 700 and 900. and also on google it says it's available at 152 stores in google shopping. But it's more of a special item, since you can't really find them at walmart, best buy etc.... But stores like amazon, adorama, newegg and stuff like that has them.

The ones I heard that had a good soundstage at a lower price were:

JVC HAR-RX700 (many positive reviews)

JVC HAR-RX900 (bigger soundstage than the 700s with the positive reviews)

Samson SR850 (looks good and had many positive reviews claiming to have wide soundstage)

Superlux HD668B (seems to be discontinued and hard to find; don't really care for these)

Panasonic HTF600

So which one?! LOL

I currently own an ultrasone hfi-450

I am mainly looking for soundstage/imaging slightly better than ultrasone, so I can be inside my music rather than the music being inside of me.
