i have some cardas headphone cable (the blue smurf cable) and i'm haivng some trouble stripping it down to bar wires. can anyone help. thanks.

Wire stripper?
If you don't have the wire stripper, try to use an exacto knife and carefully strip the insulation. Watch out or it will become a finger stripper.

I do have a wire stripper. But all the coating/sleeving the wires are in are a bit difficult to take off. Especially the black layer and the second white layer under the black

Ah, you have to strip them by your own hands (that's what she said) then. Those layers are twisted together and no way you can use the wire stripper here.

^LOL.. but on a more serious note, that kind of sucks haha.. i was so used to how easy it is to strip all of the covering off of the mogami wires to get to the braided wires.

It's not really that difficult. Cut it slightly with a cutter then use your finger nails. You'll get loads of black stuff on your fingers.
