Someone is offering me the K280 to trade with my A250. From the specs, they seem to be of rather low impedence, only 55ohm. I wonder how close are they to the A250, or the K340? Anyone? Fitz, comon! :

While serching for info on these I came across this quote ffrom JXBJXB:

"I posted a week ago about the Stereophile K1000 review from 1991 - the same review also mentioned the K280 Parabolic - which was completely panned - "there are much better headphones for less money; I can't recommend these."

I didn't like them at all. Dark, muddy, bloated sound.

The same could be said for many K340s.

I bought a pair a while ago, and I couldn't stand them because in general they were really shrill across the higher bands. However I left them playing a long time and that seemed to do the trick. There are some weird issues with imagery I think, random instruments will get pushed to the far sides of your head while highs are pushed forward. I wonder if they really are as easy to drive as the low impedance states...in order to get decent listening go I have to crank up my amp quite a bit compared to k601 or k501.
