Generally from what I've seen most balanced cable upgrades for the HD650 start at around 175$ and go up to the range of 350$.

On a strict budget, I came across this : http://www.shenzhenaudio.com/z-zy-hifi-cable-upgrade-version-hd650-hd600-hd580-hd565-hd525-balance-line-4-pin-xlr-male-occ-zy-002-2-5m.html

They're also listed on Amazon from the same seller : http://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-Version-balance-ZY-002-2-5M/dp/B00A2QJLY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399695912&sr=8-1&keywords=sennheiser+HD650+xlr+cables

Does anyone have any first-hand idea of these cables? Pricing looks mouth watering!

Any opinions on the above cable guys?

Looks good and that price is crazy.  Couple of reviews on their single-ended cables were very positive.  The balanced ones are lower priced than their SEs.  If I would not have various balanced and SE Senn cables I would definitely pull the trigger.

Keep us posted.

Cheers!!!

Ordered! Also the NFB-6. Will post opinions for sure.

Yes please, let us know! I just bought a pair of HD600s. Have not received them yet, but it seems by all accounts that the stock hd600's cable is not very relianle after some time

I haven't received it yet. Amazon shipped it awhile back, sometime early last week. I expect it will arrive sometime this week.

By the way, the stock HD650 cable is considered an upgrade for the HD600 cable, you could check that out too.

I'm more concerned about removing and inserting those little plugs in the headphone cups, they look like they will get loose after a few insertions/removals.

Received it. Came well on time and well packed. Haven't tried it yet, cause I haven't yet set up my HD650's in balanced along with my new NFB-6 :)

Only complaint is the cables running to each ear cup (after the Y split), are not nylon braided and quite thin. I would not say they're flimsy, but not too robust either.

Hopefully the thin cable is not an issue...patiently awaiting your impressions
