Hey guys, this is my first post after looking through the forums for a couple of days. I don't really know anything about headphones except what I've read recently. I've been looking at over-ear headphones around the $100 range and it seems like the Creative Aurvana Live! is a really good value for $74 on Amazon, but I've seen negative comments about its build quality. The CAL! 2 seems to solve that problem but costs $130. Is the improved durability and sound quality (if any) worth the extra $56?
I'm also considering the Audio-Technica ATH-M50, but it costs $150 unless I get it with the ridiculously long 10 ft straight cable for $128.50. Can anyone who has tried both the M50 and CAL! 2 compare them?
I mainly listen to electronic music if it makes any difference. Ambient, drum & bass, electronica, some alternative/indie rock.
Other headphone recommendations are also welcome.
