So far I've been really enjoying my refurbished ATH M50's that I got off ebay. They were sent from Florida, everyone who ordered a pair were really happy etc. However, after like what, half a month, one of the rings are starting to feel really loose. Like I can get my fingernail underneath it no problem. So I want to open them up to see if they're fake or not. I mean I got them refurbished for $90 which I'm pretty sure isn't "too good to be true". :/

You can take a look at the modding threads here...im sure you'll get an idea on how to open your M50's. 
 
Maybe a modder is around?
