Other than the Hippocase, how else are people holding their portable player/amp setups? Although these setups
can be seen as "portable" compared to larger home setups, it still seems quite difficult to carry these setups
on the go. :s

I use a small soft camera pouch, with my J3 cables & ER4s each in separate smaller coin type pouches for protection.

I have a few audiophile friends and none of them carry a stack thicker than 1 1/2 inches, usually an iPod strapped to a Fiio. I did that too for a while before the novelty of it wore off under the nuance of babying it for the sake of the connections. It didn't fit in my skinny jeans either. It makes sense to take a nice setup out if you're going on a long trip but otherwise I leave it at home.

I just stash all of my stuff in their own cases and throw them into a pouch in backpack along with my laptop whenever I go anywhere that way I do not have to be concerned with the size of things but I usually keep things small and portable as much as possible.

I don't normally carry my rig around, but when I do I put it in a V-Moda pouch that came with my shield, and hang it on my belt.

mine just sits on the arm of my chair. If i take it out, such as walking the dog i just take the ipod and some AKG 450s

I used to take the amp as well but i snapped the connector in my pocket and thought whats the point.
