Personally, I like the stock denon pads. The J$ ones made it too big(too much stretched) and have gotten warmer around my ears when wearing my D2000 than the stock one. The only plus side is that it is made of high quality leather

In my case I like them better than the stock. They make my WD2000 and D7000 sit better in my head. With the stock pads I felt the headphones too loose on me. They are mor comofrtable and to my taste they improved the sound bringing the midrange a littel bit forward.

Just my opinion.

So your decision was based entirely on comfort rather than sound quality? I prefer the comfort of the stock pads until my ears start to sweat, after that point I'd take the J$ pads any day.

And the stretching that occurs can be countered by loosening up the headphones a bit. Mine were initially stretched out so far that the headband was practically flat on my head and it caused literal pain, I took it out a few notches and the comfort was better than stock for long durations, although the cushiness of stock was better in short listening sessions.

But let's not get into the difference in SQ these pads make, it really is unbelievable.

yes, I bought these to see if they are more comfortable than stock(the pads are the one sitting against your ears). Now if you bought this and not consider how comfortable they will give you first, then I don't think you will be enjoying your music(unless you like pain while listening, in that case, I think you're crazy). I mean isn't that the whole point of buying these, because you can do the markl mod if you're only after better performance and save you a few dollars.

not exactly on-topic, but I've been trying to contact Jeremy (fatman711) for about a week, to buy a pair of his J$ earpads for my beyerdynamic DT770pro/80. Haven't received a response yet

I tried everything, filling out the order form on the website, sending a PM, and even direct email...

He's been active on this forum as far as I can tell from his profile, so I hope he reads this.

You didnt notice any inprovment in sound. There is more air and a better balence of sound with the jmoney pads. The stock ones for me or less comfortable over long listening periods and the stock ones also can make my ears sweet unlike the jmoney pads. There is more air in the cavity and and more area for heat to dissipate. It dosent make sense that they would cause your ears to sweet more. Of course I dont live in a hot humid area like florida so maybe that makes a difference.

I find the J$ pads much more comfortable, and I find that it balances the sound very well, I just don't like how the bass gets turned down so much since I listen to a lot of bassy music.

The pads weren't made to be more comfortable than stock, they were made to be a mod you could do to drastically improve the sound of the headphones.

I don't think you'll find anyone who finds them MORE comfortable than stock. I wouldn't say they're uncomfortable by any means, they just aren't as plushy as stock.

Last time I contacted Jeremy (just over a month ago) he was working in a new version of the Beyerdynamic ear pads. That's why Headphone.com doesn't have any in stock. Back them he said being about 2 months away from releasing them.

ok, guess I should wait then until Jeremy announces the release of the new pads here and on his site, and someone has reviewed them.

I probably would've sold my D2000s without my J$ pads. They sit better on my head and they seal better as well. Over time they break in a bit then they're golden. I've considered buying a second pair to have just in case anything ever happens to these.

I'd also like to note that the J$ pads help the headphones stick to your head better, making those laid back moments more relaxing (whether on your bed or reclining in a chair).
