How do I use Fiio E17 Spdif?

How do I use the spdif dac/amp funtion of Fiio E17 with my laptop and what if any additional parts do I need to buy? Atm, I have my laptop ofc, my headphones, my Fiio E17, and the Toslink adapter thing that came with the E17.
