I’m referring to products that don’t have a solid tube of plastic that sits on your collarbone.

Rather, on Ali, there is a bunch of what are basically battery-attached earphone cables, and they resemble the Beats Flex or some of Jaybird’s older models before they went fully TWS.

There are TRN branded ones with replaceable IEM adapters, and these seem to go for $15-$25 depending on specs. And then there are unbranded cables with nothing replaceable that goes for anywhere between $20 and $50.

I love the idea of the battery-attached cables, but I don't want to pay for something that'll break in a month.

You get what you pay for.

Would you say it's a choice between really bad and bad, or bad and passable/good?
Let's go with passable, but not good. Depends on which one you get. I even had the Fostex ones and they were bad.

Thanks for chiming in. I'll take that into consideration.
