Digikey, kind of Mouser. Prices are slightly higher, but faster and more likely to be authentic for sure.hi guys , where you all buying drivers in Usa ? Cuz i buy at aliexpress, and it take forever to get in California.
Which company sends faster?
Thank you

2 ohm parallel? That's like shorting the driver isn't it?hi
I used 31618 for bass , ed-26821 for full range and swfk-31736 for high.
1. 31618 - resistor 2ohms (parallel)
2. ed-26821 - resistor 5ohms (serial)
3. swfk-31736 - cap 0.68uf (serial)
Thanks

I expected it lower impedance for increasing bass.2 ohm parallel? That's like shorting the driver isn't it?
Previous version, there is no resistor for 31618.
But the graph was almost same.

Perhaps try flipping the polarity of the HODVTEC, though I would still prefer to use a series resistor here instead of a parallel one.

When there is no resistor, the bass are not enough (Compare with n5005 ie900 t9ie).
So i wanted to increasing bass. Also i added the resistor (parallel) on the 31618. There were some effects on the bass. But on the fr graph there are deep on 0~200hz. So i wrote the question on this website.
How about change bass ba?
Or add more bass ba?
I don’t know how to increase 0~200hz.
OTL….

Ah sorry you need to low pass the 31618, I'm not sure of your tube lengths, but purely guessing, you can try using something like 20ohms in series, and 68uf in parallel. I usually trial and error this part lol
What’s the best way to go about learning this craft? I can barely understand basic electricity haha

Today, i tried flipping the polarity of the HODVTEC. Fr graph graph getting more flatter than before. Why the flipping the polarity makes flat graph?Ah sorry you need to low pass the 31618, I'm not sure of your tube lengths, but purely guessing, you can try using something like 20ohms in series, and 68uf in parallel. Two things could be happeningHi bros
Recently, i’m making own iem.
But the its Fr graph little strange, so i need your help. As the graph , 0~200hz are too deep compare to other iems (n5005, t9ie).
Can you give me a advice about this situation.
Thank you!

1. So the 2ohm resistor here will reduce the impedance of the whole circuit to below 2ohms (consider how you calculate adding the resistance in parallel)
Most probably you are looking at your sound card with fairly high output impedance rolling off the low frequency. With <2 Ohm impedance you are also loosing a lot of headroom too (overall SPL or how loud they can play)
2. you have leakage somewhere and the bass is reduced.

1. Recently, i tried adding 2ohms (parallel) for bass ba (31618). Before, I only attached 31618 no resistor and caps. But the graph have same problem 0~200hz.
2. I also think about leakage somewhere. when i fixed leakage , the bass was improved (it makes more db on the 0~200hz) , but also have deep graph on 0~200hz.
So i tried flipping the polarity of the HODVTEC. The graph was changed.

blue line -> before, green line ->after
the graph only shows 31618 ba.
what do you think about about "flipping the polarity of the HODVTEC"?

What's your measurement setup? I'm pretty sure the 2ohm parallel resistor is ruining the measurements.thanks for your reply.

Do you have successful measurements with a known good IEM? Is your soundcard calibrated?

Mine is not successful.. the seller didn’t give me a calibrate file.. but compare with other earphones, 0-200hz less..Do you have successful measurements with a known good IEM? Is your soundcard calibrated?
anyway i ordered new measurement yesterday. When i get it , i will test it again .
