So around 1500 mark which headphone is like an all rounder for almost all music genres? Genres I am mainly concerned for are rock, metal, jazz, country, acoustic, soundtracks, classical and pop
Headphones I have seen for this price are focal clear, hifiman arya, zmf auteur, hd800s
Also what amp would you recommend with it

If you're looking at closed-back headphones, try the Denon AH-D9200. It plays well with myriad genres of music, and blends great technicalities with a musical signature.

Open or closed? Used or New or either? Audio chain? Any updates scheduled? Buy in haste, repent in leisure.

Two biggest allrounders i had so far are Denon AH-D9200 and Hifiman Ananda. Don't think there is a genre they suck in. Fostex TH900 Mk2 was also quite good allrounder. All three are non demanding at the setup so you should be fine with anything as long as it works for high sensitive headphones.

Ananda is a good deal for the money but has flaws. Arya is quite a bit better. If you want to spend less if Adorama has the HE-6se still for sale for $699 and its like mine, that also beats the Ananda soundly but would like 3-4 wpc amp.
