As to God speaking to you through $2000 cans, I think at that price the best you'll get is Gabriel blowin' his horn
And hopefully not Satan blowing out his arse.

But that would be perfect for metalheads!
So we don't even know *for sure* if these are electrostatic or orthodynamic?

Jokes, right? Electrostatic and Orthodynamic are like cousins But this is definitely orthodynamic.
Still waiting for the jades redux lol
Tyll's initial impressions are up at Innerfidelity.

"...I was overwhelmed at how good these cans sounded."
"...there's only very few headphones (and their upstream rigs) I'd even begin to say approach what I heard on this rig."
But that would be perfect for metalheads!
Have we even confirmed that this is actual metal? The only thing that appears to be metal in the photos is the really thin cheap looking headband.
The cups and swivel points still look like chrome plated plastic.
I really hope the finished product takes things up a few levels, especially if the plan is to ask $2500+ for the headphone.
In context his praise is a bit more qualified, but nevertheless high praise indeed.
so the battle will go between the two newcomers..the dharma and the he1000?I was extremely impressed with these headphones when I heard them during the meet.
I posted my impressions here:
