**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**

Hey guys!

I´ve buy a cheap Fiio E11K amp for using with the weak output of PS4´s controller and I´ve discovered that it reduces the sibilance and harshness problem.

When I connect to this amp to the Topping I also found the same: The bass is more tangible and the harsh reduces a bit.

The final sound is far from perfect (as you would spect for a 60$ amp) but good enough for a pleasant listening.

Greetings from the sunny Spain.

Hi, anyone is still using HE-400 rev.1. Could you please give me some feedback about it?
How it's different with the lastest driver? I read a few documents and discussion about the difference between the revisions of this headphone but still confuse?
The previous revisions is manufactured faulty?

Not sure about rev. 1, but 2 and 4 are g2g. Rev. 3 is the one you definitely want to avoid.

How can I tell whether my HE-400 is rev.1,2,3 or 4?

I've just suffered the same fate as other HE-400 owners it appears. Got curious about the insides of the cans, which ended up with one of the plastic rings coming apart from the pad, so I guess I'm screwed?

I was considering buying some velour pads, but I guess this has bad up my mind for me!

Anyone got a link for buying them in the UK?

Thanks

Are you talking about these rings? They are removable by design. You can pop 'em back in.

Still love my HE-400's. they are still uncomfortable compared to my K7XX's that i just sent in for repair BUT. i have gotten so used to them that I notice no discomfort or comfort, which i think is good. still love them!

If i ever get more money i may sell them to get the he-400i's but until then with the jergpads they are great.

if anyone has some good eq's mind sharing them?

Good news for me! I found a nice deal on some used HE-400s. They look flawless and come with a 3ft silver coated cable (didn't mention maker but looks like its high quality) and what looks like velour earpads. Thanks to everyone who helped me out on what to purchase! Can't wait to get them and try em out.

(img of the cable if someone wants to help me ID it, was supposed to be a link, but I guess headfi auto embeds images.) it)
