Seems to be a circuit problem, probably with the power management controller.

I'll be receiving a new Tempotec iDSD Plus which should have the slow charging and blue LED issues fixed. We'll see how it works, since it's an identical product of the Hidizs DH1000 but with a different branding.

Are they 100% identical? Specifications are about the same tho. Btw, only 5 pages of disscusions, i wonder why there are no love for this awesome product.

It should be identical. The Printed Circuit Board clearly says Sonata iDSD Blance v1.1. Sonata iDSD is their mobile DAC branding.

I'll let you know when I receive it. It may or may not be the same if there has been some changed in the PCB to prevent the current battery/power issues.

Nope. I just use a bag from another product I got (not related to music, but the DH1000/Tempotec iDSD Plus fits nicely)

I finished writing my unboxing and overview of the Tempotec iDSD Plus and compare it with my Hidizs DH1000. The version I got, according to Tempotec, should have solved the Blue LED problem along with other issues:

On sale on Aliexp today so picked up the Tempotec. Is everything exactly the same as the DH1000, even power spec? whats odd is the output is listed differently on the Ali page, in the specs part it says 220mw for balanced out but scroll down and it says 150mw. Also surprising how the tempotec is listed for less than half the price of the Hidizs!

It sounds the same.

Unfortunately, now my unit is again dead, with an orange LED. Someone from Tempotec told me new units would be arriving in 2 weeks but in the aliexpress store they are in stock. Not sure who to believe here. Or it may be that there will be a new batch of the Tempotec and they are selling the old ones. Not sure. I'll contact them again and see what they tell me.

EDIT: So I think something may not be soldered correctly. I pushed the SmartAction SA2000 chip a bit and the Orange LED turned green, which is supposed to be that way.

Probably the Hidizs version now looks the same, since they're the same DAC.

Hello!
I'm too have defected DAC. First initial use it's worked with my android phone(xiaomi mi9) but not enough loudly, regardless i do volume up on phone or Dac. My earphones 1more 3drive. After i want to connect it to PC, and then it died without establishing connection to PC.
Do you know what IC is U4? I haven't found any datasheet. Can you download photo with good quality?, i couldn't recognize marking on IC.
