Hi.

I'm new here.

I have a pair of B&W P7's(out of warranty) of which have suddenly stopped working. There is no sound coming out of the right side. However, on the left side, sound is being produced.

I'm going to eventually get some new one's but want to take this opportunity to try and take these puppies apart. Ideally, I'd like to fix them. Try is the important word there as I have no experience wrenching on small electronics, let alone audio electronics.

Have any of you guys or gals taken a pair of P7's, or P5's apart?
Any advice in general?

Cheers

Matt

I am now having the exact issue, right can no longer works. I would like to keep them, repair, or purchase parts as needed. I am open to suggestions that can put me on this track. Thanks

First off, there are electronics repair shops that can re-solder for you, like tv repair shops. If you are going to DIY, you need basic soldering skills.

This thread discusses it:

However, the picture in this post shows that you will probably just need to resolder the wire that joins to the right-side pcb feeding the signal to the right driver:

Either way, re-read all three pages of the thread several times over. Hope this helps. :)
