I have an Hewlett Packard laptop dv6 - 1008. I try to play my songs through itunes-.usb2.0-mini input ibasso dc10, and I get terrible static. I use the same setup on my LG netbook and everything sounds good. I was thinking of buying a hp quickdock, (for coax)but I'm not sure if this would help!!
Any suggestions????
Sorry, I'm a real NooB

Thanks,
Jim

Edit: Most likely a DPC latency issue actually, lots of laptops have that issue, check with http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

If not, sounds like a job for an external soundcard or dac...
Your onboard may be getting nasty interference, or maybe bad capacitor.

E-MU 0404 is the best spec:price ratio on external devices, especially if you buy an unmodified used one.

Actually, Dalamar is totally wrong.  (By the way, DPC latency affects clicks, pops, and drop-outs, not plain old static.)

The iBasso D10 is known to have lots of problems charging and playing at the same time.  Try using it as a USB interface, but flick the switch at the back to use the battery, and you should have no problems.  Your other notebook might just have better filtered USB plugs.
