I need to help a friend in the next few hours. This is not an area in which I have any first-hand specific listening auditions under my belt. Any and all advice would be very welcome.

Compare and contrast, please (and feel free to offer other ideas), the following for long (very long) commercial airplane trips:

Denon AH-NC732k vs Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7b.

Also, the discontinued model ATH-ANC7 (without the "b") is still available, and cheaper. What's the difference??

Any comments on containment (on top of isolation) would be welcome -- the fellow is very sensitive to complaints "I can hear your music!"

get the PXC 350 / 450. Proven best NC of everything in the price range. Sick comfort and great detailed sound, lacking in bass is the only bad thing here. You even get the talkthrough function if u go with the 450. Both of them have pretty similar NC capabilities. Very, very clear.

Thanks! I love Senn and will have a look at the 450 -- I never thought of that. I see this debate is going on in another thread, so we'll move there!
