I just got this little amp and now im looking for new headphones.
The source is an 30gb ipod.
Im not sure how much the amp can handle, price is around 150$
Well closed or open im not sure but i dont like in-ears right now.

what can you recommend??

i use my Mini^3 primarily with Yuin PK1s and to my ears they make a very good match. i've also occasionally plugged in some Grados and have no complaints.
the PK1s are right in your price range, but i don't know how you feel about earbuds.

Earbuds are not my favorite headphones.

I use the high performance version.

Music is all from norah jones to hip hop.

Hope you're mini^3 lasts a little longer than mine, I sent mine back to rockhopper because it stopped working after a week.
As for the headphones I'd pick either the sr125 or HD555 but if you're going to be walking around the streets with them then I'd lean towards sr125.

Buy yourself Denon AH-D1001 or Creative Aurvana Live! and don't care for synergy with the amp because it's almost entry level device. Just beware of high impedance and choose the headphones you like.

grado sr 125 is way to much. i can buy it for 320$ but it looks nice.

the hd555 looks nice.

What I'd do is spend more money on the headphones than spending money on an amp.

For example, spend the extra money on a better Grado model, since grados sound good out of an iPod, or ATs, which also sound extremely good w/o amplification..

the sr125 looks nice but at 320 $ as it cost in my country its a no go
