hey,

I currently own a pair of sennheiser HD280 pros. While they are connected to my iPhone the mids and highs are AMAZING, but they lack some bass, I've tried to use all the pre-set equalizers that are on my iPhone but the bass is low for my liking. Although when i connect them to my laptop they are great headphones. I previously owned v-moda duo vibe headphones and the bass output from my iPhone was great but they mids and highs not as crisp as on the HD280's.

i've seen a few reviews that the sennheiser HD 448's are good, how would they perform with an iPhone?

What do you guys recommend me to get? I prefer over ear headphones like the HD280’s.

HD 448 definitely not enough bass for your needs. M50 might be lacking in the bass department too... it sure was for me. HFI-580 is a safer choice. More bass than the M50 and still some fantastic clarity.

Heya,

The HD448's are horrible to wear, they're flimsy junk, with no grip/isolation, so the bass that they are capable of, is completely lost. The 280 Pro's are a far better headphone. Avoid.

You could get a new headphone, like the Ultrasone HFI 580 or AudioTechnica M50.

Or you could try the Digizoid ZO on your 280 that you already know you like. Cheaper ultimately.

Very best,

my budged is about 100AUD  so the Ultrasone HFI 580 are way off.
i dont want something too bulky either because ill be going with them to university.

Heya,

Bulky? The 280 Pro's are heavy and bulky and clamp hard. Maybe you should look at quality IEM's.

Shure SE215's.

Very best,

About $100 AUD? The HFI 580 or the DJ1 (580 with coiled cable) is about $120 AUD shipped from amazon

Never mind, seems like the price have rised back up to $130 ish
