Taken from the HD598 General Description on the Sennheiser site:

"Highly constant, compressed cellulose fleece reduces total harmonic distortion"

What the 'ell does this mean? Is the HD598 made from sheep with constant fleece? Since sheep are low in harmonic distortion, could we use them in the corners of our listening rooms to improve the sound of loudspeakers?

Or is this just more meaningless Sennheiser marketing jargon designed to justify a price increase on the HD595? Or a sexy way of saying overdamping will make yet another dull sounding set of cans?

That is some very nice marketing mumbo-jumbo.
