Hello Head-Fi.

I recently posted a thread looking for some portables, and I got some recommendations, but I still can't decide.

I want something that I can easily just plug into my iPhone. No amp.

I currently have a Philips Downtown, but I find it to be far too mid centric.

I listen to a lot of electronic, jazz, and rock. I prefer a neutral tone but with emphasized bass.

I was recommended the JVC HA-S500. It looks good, but I was hoping for something that was a bit larger in terms of cup size, like an over ear. I still might get it though.

Budget is anything under $200 at max, but I would prefer to spend more around $50.

I also got a recommendation for the HD429

Any other suggestions?

If yon increase that budget, try the V-Moda's M-100.

But with that, since your looking for bass, try the Pioneer STEEZ 808 - http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Portable/Headphones/808+SE-MJ751I

And around the $200 range, try checking out the Marshall Monitors.
