I do remember most of the stuff, so I will put it up little by little.

Hello. How does the DT-990s compare to the AD-700s, for all-around (gaming, movies, music) purposes? And how they compare to the DT-770s? Is the 770s MUCH more isolated than the previous two? What about soundstage and what you called "inside the head" sound effect? Oh, congratulations by your review by the way. It is very good.

The AD-700's? It's been a long time since I heard those so I can not comment.

I know for sure that the DT770 isolates much better than the others. What I mean by "inside the head" is that it does not have very good width/depth to it's stage. It's bigger than a Grado's soundstage, but still smaller than both the DT880 and DT990.

Nice job on part two of the comparisons. I am still torn on the 600 ohm versions of the 880 and 990. Don't know if I want to sacrifice mids to get the 990 ( all while I wait for my T1s )

Thanks for answering. I'm still not sure which one to pick.. It is a difficult decision.. I guess I'll collect more data here and there, and before purchasing  I'll ask you guys one more time.

FWIR the AD-700's have a wider soundstage with more midrange, but far less bass. That's about all I remember from them though..

I added the Revox 3100 to the comparison in my first post on page 01. It sounds warmer than the current DT880/600 and is faster with tighter and more defined bass.

Thanks again Zombie.. Actually I'm looking for some well isolated headphones, most for isolationg myself from outside noise, I don't really mind if my headphones leak sound for the outside, since I'll use then in my room and it won't disturb anyone... I guess the 770s would be better for me, but on the other side, I'd like some strong bass since I'll use it for gaming, but it doesn't have to be too strong so I'm also considering the 880's... Yeah, I'm really confused

I can tell you the DT770 definitely isolates well and has great bass
FWIR the ad700 has weak bass and obviously you won't be blocking much noise with open cans

Thanks for the info guys, but I still can't decide on which headphone to choose. I guess I'll have to go to some store where I can actually try'em before choosing... both the 770 and the 880 sound very apealing, the 770s for its isolation characteristic and the 880s for the bigger bass.

Sorry but what does FWIR means?
