I can foresee some unscrupulous folk buying a lot of regular ATH-L3000's for $2-2.5k a pop, getting the leather professionally dyed green, and selling them for $6k each

This idea is not bad.

A guy in china forum has ever claimed that he dyes a l3000 in blue which is known as L3000b....

wow!!! what a unique headphone in the world. ha! ha!!

Very nice and thanks for the photos. I guess that it is just me, but I think that I like the looks of the brown a little better. It is like a comfy chair, and Greens are more like an art deco piece (nice, just don't want to put it on my head).

Always learning new things out here.
