After my DT 1350s breaking in the middle of the last London meet , my T50ps started to crackle in one ear a couple of weeks later .
I could not believe my bad luck, both were less than a year old , so I contacted Polar Audio , Beyer in the UK. I sent them both back, they confirmed receipt of the goods, and have frequently kept me informed of the repairs status.
About three weeks later the T50p comes back, registered mail and sound better than ever. Free of charge under warranty.
All portable headphones take a beating, and whilst there is a lot to moan with customer service in the head-fi world, it's good to know there are some companies who do try.
A part for the DT1350 needed to be ordered
from Germany , so they will take a little longer.
I really don't mind waiting when I am being informed regularly , so I know and understand any delay, it's the companies who vanish for weeks, then reappear who will lose customers.
So not over happy about the faults in the first place, but portable things do get broken, however i am delighted by Beyer UKs response and handling .
I now have another excuse to save up for the T5p
