Is there a big difference between de GS1000 and the GS1000i ?
I'm asking because in the Netherlands i can buy a GS1000 for 700 euro (new)
or a GS1000i for 1000 euro.
Is the i the extra 300 euro worth ?

I owned the GS1000i, but I have never tried the GS1000.

From my experience with the lower end models, all the "i" versions are noticeably better, so I would try to get the GS1000i.

Just my opinion, but I don't think the newer cable justifies spending forty-two percent more for the same model headphone. For that kind of money (300 euros), you can get the headphones recabled by one of the aftermarket companies if you want to later on. I'd much rather spend the 300 euros on more music or another piece of gear.

No, it not worth. Both sound about the same to me. Save the money and just go for GS1000.

I wouldn't pay extra for the "i." I like the GS1000 very much. In addition to great low-end, the detail and imaging is outstanding. Some don't care for the top-end, however. Me, I like.
