Well, the price is very good, if that's what you're asking.
Unfortunately, I can't be of much help for the second question; I have never owned nor heard the GS1000. They look beautiful, though, and, if I'm honest, it was a glowing review of the GS1000 that sparked my interested in head-fi (the topic, not this website) about a year ago.
If you're sure it isn't a scam, for $600, you can't really go wrong; if you like them, you got a great deal, If you don't like them, you can just resell them (which I would think would be easy enough to do at that price, but I could be wrong, if they're really that unpopular…).
