The PS500e is a nice option I’m sure (I own the OG PS500). If it’s the non-e version 500,- is too much though
For the GH3 500 is a bit much, maybe for the GH4 as well, for GH2 OK I’d say
Thanks. I have bought the Asgard already from a headfi'er. All my Grado's are capable to connect to an xlr amp, except the sr325x. I don't know if I am going mod it with a beautiful audio adapter yet. I think I will keep this one original.
I'm from europe and i thanks for the recomendations, i did end up finding a guy from ebay selling the GH2, GH3, GH4 all for 500$ and also a PS500 for again 500$.
I’d say, go for GH2 or GH4. They sound basically identical, so you can pick whichever you like more aesthetically. GH3 is not on the same level. I would also consider PS500e if you can find one.
I've never heard the SR60/SR80 since I can't stand the S pads.
Regarding the SR325x I'd rather go with an unmodified one. I guess Grado (or their local representative) wouldn't repair a modded model. Otherwise depends on what was done.
150€ for an RS2e sounds cheap, though that model was too bass light for my taste. If rather airy and bright appeals to you, that might be worth looking into. But take a look at the state of the cable etc. and factor in new pads -- the price is rather low.

*** In terms of tonal balance, yes. As for attack/decay of chords/notes and for recovery of ambience, rendition of reverberation, no. GH2, with its harder cocobolo wood, has slightly quicker attack / decay than does GH4, with its softer Norwegian pine. [GH4 smells wonderful!]

I will know soon; one was just delivered to home. GH1 will get the Turbulent Labs headband + Nyczaj Audio gimbal / rod / block assemblies. Those are in my home study desk drawer ...
Waiting for your impressions. Also, I would like to know the community’s opinion about RS-1 “button” Classic. Is it worth $400 for a perfect condition piece? Is the Vintage with pink drivers so much better than the Classic? I have a GH4 and PS500e and looking to add to my collection.

I have Turbulent Labs headband + Nyczaj assembly on my GH1 and it's amazing! Never heard the GH2 or GH4 so I'd be curious to hear your impressions. Currently have G-cushions on my GH1. I had a bit of a preference for the F-cushions on them but I returned the 225x that I had been borrowing the cushions from. Have some Beautiful Audio pads on the way though so looking forward to hearing those on the GH1
