What is your amp? From my experience the GS3000x is the most power hungry Grado. Hemp and RS1x I could easily drive with Piety. But 3000x requires something like A90 level.

Vali 3 is here. Mogami Gold cable arrives tomorrow (theoretically.) Bought a 5670, thanks @Daniel Johnston, will use stock until it arrives which should be by the weekend. I knew getting on this forum would end up costing me money! What I did not know is it seems to be rather less money than I might have feared and rather more bang for the buck then I might have thought. Fingers crossed, of course.

it depends on how much bass you want. Some people listen to Susvara on A90 and that’s OK. LOL

... de gustibus non est disputandum. There is a whole frequency spectrum, ambience, soundstage -- to my mind -- to savour. And GS3000x bass is deep, plentiful, and sinuous.

I don’t want to say that I’m a bass head, but I prefer my music to have body and weight. I can feel how Vali2++ is underpowered for GS3000x.

Tax on GS3000x was $204.51. Vali 3 is $149. Yes, plus tax, har har har, but with that and shipping, $177.68.
